Meet Daniel – Your Guide to Professional Portrait Photography
I’m Daniel, a full-time portrait photographer and educator dedicated to helping photographers worldwide elevate their craft.
Since launching my professional career in 2013, I’ve built two successful photography businesses and captured thousands of client sessions across genres — from engagements and weddings to families, maternity, and newborns.
My work has been recognized internationally, including as a Grand Jury Winner on Viewbug.
Through real-world experience, I’ve developed proven frameworks for mastering natural light, client direction, consistent editing, and emotional storytelling — without relying on presets.
Now, I share these exact techniques through my membership: in-depth classes with behind-the-scenes shoots, downloadable RAWs, and step-by-step workflows designed to transform your skills and deliver client-booking results.
Whether you’re building a business or capturing family memories, join me to see the world through a professional lens and create award-worthy portraits.

The Intersecting Masks is LR are huge! The Portrait Presets are nice, too, and as Daniel explains, are settings you’re locked into; you can (should) should use them as a starting point and fine-tune as needed.
Another great tutorial! Thanks!

I’ve been using these masks for awhile now, and find they are a great starting point, but still often need to be fine tuned often for selection, especially when doing batch edits to apply to a session. I haven’t really utilized the intersecting of different masks, as I didn’t quite understand it, but appreciate Daniel’s examples here and in other videos. I look forward to further improvements within LR as these tools get better!
